309: Running FOMO

Angie and Kevin Brown

As runners, we are naturally driven individuals.  We like to challenge ourselves to see what we are capable of - a faster time, a longer distance, a new achievement.

We don’t want to feel left behind or like we are missing out on the next race or the newest trend.

While this might be a good thing sometimes, running FOMO does have a dark side.  If you are constantly looking ahead to what’s next, you might be missing out on what’s here now.

Like Ferris Bueller said, “Life moves pretty fast.  If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.”

Check out this week’s episode where we talk about the places where running FOMO often exists and how to make sure that running FOMO doesn’t hurt your running progress.
